I made a trip into Seattle, taking the Bainbridge-Seattle ferry, partly because it was the easiest access to my destination, but mostly because I’d get a chance to see the Norwegian Encore docked at Pier 66. Unfortunately, I’d forgotten to charge my camera battery, so had to rely on my cell phone. The hazards of being the other side of 60. 😀
This was taken just after leaving the Bainbridge ferry terminal. Even from here (8.3 miles away), you can make out the Encore against the Seattle skyline.
Approaching the Seattle ferry terminal, the Encore is huge. In fact, if you stand her on end (1,094 feet), she’d be almost twice as tall as the Space Needle (605 feet)
Heading back to Bainbridge Island, with better weather. Still not a better camera, though!
